Faith Formation

Faith Formation

Our nascent Faith Formation group has now met twice and held fairly loose but lively discussions on our connection with God and our faith and experience with prayer.  Our next 3 meetings are likely to focus on the book “Help, Thanks, Wow” by Anne Lamott in which she describes “Help!” and “Thanks!” and “Wow!” as the three essential prayers.  Each meeting will likely begin by reading together four or five pages from a chapter discussing one of these prayers, and then hold a fairly unstructured discussion of what we have read.  Our next meeting will be January 18 at 9:00am in the Fireplace Room before church.  Please feel free to join us.  No prior experience or preparation required.  Just show up.  And feel free to contact Kate Lindheim or Mark Tuttle for more information.

The class is being held at PACC and is open to all, but is not otherwise affiliated with PACC. The PACC sessions will be held in Parish Hall on February 1, March 1, and March 29 from 6-8 pm. In addition, there are two phone sessions on February 15 and March 15 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The class is free and there is more info available at www.kerrycudmore.com/spiritual-finance.html.

Fruit fundraiser

Take part in our annual fruit fundraiser.

Navel oranges and pink grapefruit will be picked in Florida, shipped and delivered the same week we place the order. Contact Jill Lewis at fruitfundraiser@pacc-ucc.org for more information. The deadline to order is Saturday evening at 10pm, December 6. Fruit will arrive Saturday, December 13. Unfortunately, Florida continues to have bad luck in the orchards, so the supply is down, and the cost has increased: $17 for a half a box, and $34 for a full box.

If you wish to order, please send Jill an email with your order. (Note: if you order a half box, since a full box will be split up, your order will not have a top cover.) In the email, please provide your phone number and email. Jill will confirm receipt of your email you as soon as possible after she receives your order. Pick up will be sometime Saturday, December 13, most likely in the afternoon.
