Sarah’s Circle, April 2015

Sarah’s Circle

Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 10 a.m.

Our next meeting is Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the Fellowship Room.  Those who wish to meditate can come at 9:30. We have selected a novel (since it will be just after Easter and Passover and some folks may be strapped for time) by Anita Diamont, The Boston Girl.  It is available (but there are lots of requests for it) in the MinuteMan Library Network, and it is available in hardcover (new & used), Kindle, Audible and audio CD versions on Amazon.com.

Here is what Amazon says about this book: Addie Baum is “The Boston Girl,” born in 1900 to immigrant parents…Growing up in the North End… Addie’s intelligence and curiosity take her to a world her parents can’t imagine….She wants a career and to find true love.

Eighty-five-year-old Addie tells the story of her life to her twenty-two-year-old granddaughter. She begins in 1915, the year she found her voice and made friends who would help shape the course of her life… Addie recalls her adventures with compassion for the naïve girl she was and a wicked sense of humor.

All women are invited. Contact the church office for more information.
