Learning to Pray
Does prayer feel like something reserved for people who are holier than you? Do you pray in church, but you’re not sure how to do it on your own? Or maybe you already enjoy a regular prayer practice but want to spice things up a bit.
You’re invited to come to Learning to Pray, an opportunity both for people who are brand new to prayer to get comfortable with it and for folks who already pray and want to add to their tool box while reinvigorating their faith. It’s also a great chance to grow in our relationships with one another as we share what’s most important to us.
What: Learning to Pray, a time together to center ourselves; talk about what’s important to us spiritually; and learn new ways of praying.
When: third Sundays at 9am in the Fellowship Room and/or first and third Wednesdays at 7:30pm.
You can attend either or both, depending on your schedule.
Where: the Fellowship Room at Park Avenue Congregational Church
Our culture provides so few spaces to talk about and grow in our spiritual lives; Learning to Pray gives us both. People who attend talk about what a “relief” it is to share this time together and how they didn’t realize they were missing an experience dedicated to nurturing their spirits. If this sounds like something you’ve been missing, too, please join us!
