Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is responsible for the budget (i.e., deciding how much money is needed to run the church) and for raising the money to cover it. The annual canvass for pledges is an important part of its work. Committee members generally assist the collector in the weekly accounting for monies received and the recording necessary to keep track of payments on pledges. Although the Treasurer keeps the books, disbursements are subject to approval of the Finance Committee, which also sees to regular auditing of the books. There are nine members each serving three years
